Hey ho, you there! Lone Flame here, of course, ready to show ya'll another walkthrough!!! This time its an older island, but still a lovable one, Mythology Island! Well, enough chit chat, let's get started.
So you'll first land on the island on Main Street, and everyone's wearing togas. You'll drop down in the middle of Herc's Hero Hut and the Museum of Olympus. Go into the Museum of Olympus. A little dialogue will happen on the wall, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades will conquer the Titans, and Hades will say that he rules the underworld, Poseidon the seas, and Zeus the skies. Zeus tells his brothers to bow down to him, but of course, they refuse. He says he'll get his vengeance, one day..
Continue into the museum and pass the other statues, feel free to read their captions, and you may want to, since you'll need to know them later, and continue till you get here..
Collect the Starfish on Poseidon's statue.
Leave the Museum of Olympus.
Now you're back on Main Street. Go all the way right until you're in front of here..
The music hall, the place of Appollo, whatever you wanna call it, since it doesn't clearly have a name. On the map it says its called the Grove of Temples, but that's for another reason. Go in this building.
Pass the statues, to the right, until you see the free bin of Reed Pipes. Get one.
Now, if you want, you can talk to all the statues and ask if they can teach you how to play a Reed Pipe, or you can just go up to the statue holding the reed pipe.. Yeah.
Her name is Euterpe, and she will ask you to prove your worth by following the pattern of what colors she chooses. It may take a few tries, but eventually you'll get it.
Euterpe will tell you to play the Pipe Tune for Cerberus and he will fall asleep. We'll be using that later.
Exit the music hall of Appollo.
Now the quest may begin.
Go back to Main Street, past the Museum of Olympus, and this time, take a left, aka to the Tree of Immortality.
You'll be in a garden-like area with a lot of olive trees, and a seemingly old woman. Talk to her.
She'll tell you a short, mysterious sentence. Continue past her, and up the bold white steps, past these very daring statuettes. (click on them and you'll understand)
Once you go up the steps, climb the branches, a few snakes, and hop up some mushrooms to reach the hairy guy with horns, and a tail, holding a Reed Pipe, more specifically he's called a satyr. Talk to him.
You'll ask him for the golden apple, and he'll say he will help you, if you get him 10 jars of honey first.
They're pretty easy to get, and you only need 10. When you get ten, go back to the guy.
He'll thank you, and show you a secret passage to get to the apple. Click the branch and the golden apple will fall.
When you get the apple, some lightning will strike, and the guy will say its about time he'd be going.
He leaves you to face the almighty Zeus.
Sheesh, someone's protective of their apples.
Zeus offers you immortality if you can find and gather the five sacred items. You'll get a Sacred Items Scroll to check what you need and where you need to get it from.
Leave the Tree of Immortality and the old woman you talked to earlier will transform into a much younger version of herself.
Turns out she was just posing as an old woman, and is actually the goddess Athena. You'll hop down and talk to her.
She warns you of Zeus, her father, not being trustworthy. She then tells you to click on the Olive Trees if you need help. She then says that if you convince him, Hercules might help you.
Just as an example, here's what shows up when you look to the olive trees for "guidance."
Now, go left, over the bridge. You'll see a creepy looking, lady statue, and a wilted flower. Pass her and climb up the stones.
Now before you go up to the aqueducts, go to this patch above the lady statue.
Grab some Pomegranates. Now you can go up to the aqueducts.
Now keep jumping and going up the aqueducts until you see the water. When you see the taller wooden things, push them over.
When you finally reach the water, turn the lever so the water goes in the opposite direction.
Well so the first lever looks like this..
Keep going so the water continues. You'll know which way to turn each lever, its pretty obvious.
If you have trouble with the aqueducts comment below.
When you finally restore the water, the once wilted flower will now be vibrant with color. Pick up the flower, called the Rare Flower. Just one of the five sacred items. Oh, and the creepy bug lady statue's eyes are open. And her head moves.
Now pass the bug statue, to the left until you see the "Meet the Minotaur!" poster. Go up until you see the colored door.
Such a coincidence that the colors go with the ones on your Reed Pipe! Use your pipe and just go by the colors on the door.
Blue, Blue, Green, Yellow, Yellow, Red, Blue, Green. Just in case.
Now the door will be open. Talk to the buff Minotaur.
Soo... You'll ask for his beautiful Nose Ring, and he'll say you can have it if you live through his labyrinth. (PERCY JACKSON ALL OVER AGAIN)
You say okay, and go into the labyrinth.
Athena will assist you and give you the thread to track your way through. (PERCY JACKSON MOMENT)
Keep going, its basically a maze, and you will meet dead ends. Keep going until you meet an older satyr, the ghost of the great Pan. He tells you there is more than one way to read the bones.
Hop up to the level above him and where there's a little podium/table with bones on it.
Click on it and take away six bones so it spells "TEN"
The blocked passage will open up, revealing....
MORE LABYRINTH!!!
Keep going.
After you go through some twists, turns, and dead ends, you'll meet your new best friend!
The most annoying giant scorpion in the world -.-
The key is to go when its coming at you. It may be a little irritating to get past it, wait, scratch that, INSANELY irritating to get past the thing, but I promise if you keep trying, you'll get past him.
Finally you'll get out of the Labyrinth, but you're not done yet.
You come to a room with this on the wall..
Click on it, and you'll see a bunch of pesky snakes.
Every now and then you'll see one with red eyes. You'll need to click the one with red eyes three times.
But each time you click, it moves faster, at least it seems like it did. So try to be quick, and click it three times.
If you're wondering how I knew to click the red eyed one three times, there's a caption on the bottom that says, "The red-eyed one holds your fate, catch her thrice and blah blah blah"
So yeah. When you finish that, you can exit the labyrinth.
The Minotaur will give you his Nose Ring ^^
But he will also warn you of Zeus's doings.
Leave the Minotaur's sanctuary. Go back to Main Street. Go all the way right, past the music place where you got your Reed Pipe, past the purple goat man, and down to the creepy looking building.
You'll meet this guy.
So you decide to be nice and do his dirty work by cleaning the graffiti. There are three spots to clean. Its pretty easy, and he will give you a Drachma, Greek currency, when your done.
Go into the creepy building.
Now you'll see a little altar, where you need to offer something to get into the Underworld of Hades.
Use your Pomegranates, and whoosh! Your in!
You'll see a bat and a big hole.
JUMP DOWN INTO THE BIG HOLE.
After falling, you'll fall into Charon's boat, who is the ferryman of the Underworld.
He looks more like a tourist that got lost for a few centuries trying to find the cruise ship.
Anyways, ask him to go across the River Styx, and you'll have to dodge some stuff.
First, go right on top of Charon, the ferryman.
Then duck down to avoid the floating skull thing, but that doesn't work very well, so just try and jump over it.
Then jump when you see the alligator/crocodile's head. You'll have to do that four or five times.
Its fine if you fall, you've got an eternal amount of tries.
So hide behind the guide, jump over the floating skull, and jump.
Hide, jump, jump. Good.
When you get through there, you'll end up on a bank with a huge creature with three doggie heads.
You've just met Cerberus.
Now you'll be using the Pipe Tune that Euterpe, the statue of the muse of music, taught you.
The order is Blue, Green, Yellow, Blue, Red, Green.
Use your Reed Pipe to play that :p
Then Cerberus will be lulled to sleep, and its safe to approach. Go up to Cerberus and click on him/them, and you'll get the Whisker from Cerberus. Which is another of the Sacred Items.
Go back to Charon in the boat and leave, up the exit, and out of Hades' Realm.
p.s. you have to jump over the hole to the left if you want to get out
Now when you're back outside of the creepy building, go to the right, where there is a mud geyser with a stone on it, which will be your elevator.
Wait until it comes down, jump on it, and wait till it goes up, then jump off.
You'll see an older man in a toga on the outside, complaining about the graffiti as well. You don't need to help him.
Go inside, and use the Starfish for the offering, and you're in.
You'll be at a beach-like place, with beach towels, colorful umbrellas, and of course, a godly lifeguard!
Talk to Triton if you wish. He will tell you of a GNARLY underwater cave, and for you to beware.
Then keep going and you'll see a stunning lady with fierce golden locks of evenly curled hair, and blush red cheeks as if they were just barely kissed by frost.
Haha, that's Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty.
She'll say that she can help mortals just as well as her sister, Athena, can, and she will offer you a reward if you can guess the names of the gods and goddesses on the statues.
If you know them, great! If you don't, great!
You can just keep guessing until you get it, but keep in mind that you only have three guesses.
But, i'm pretty sure the order of the statues is always the same, so here's the order-
Ares, Hermes, Aphrodite, Artemis, and Hestia.
When you're finished, she will give you a "magic mirror" aka the Touchscreen Mirror. It can transport you to the realms of the gods.
Then go left to this statue.
Hahaaahahaha! Look at my eyes ^_^
Well right under this statue, you'll see a darker area in the water. Go down into it.
You'll be underwater, and you can run out of oxygen, so be sure to grab the little bubbles that show up every now and then.
This part is kind of like the labyrinth, except its much easier. Keep swimming until you find this platform of rock.
When you see this, keep going, since you aren't strong enough to get through. You'll be coming back here later.
When you keep swimming, you'll see a cave entrance that says DANGER! well don't pay attention to that, because you're young and reckless. Before you go into the cave though, do you see the giant clam?
Go up to the clam, and keep trying until you get the pearl. Its one of the five Sacred Items.
Once you get the pearl from the clam, go into the cave entrance.
You'll be minimized to make the monster seem larger.
Their heads will bob, but one of the heads' eyes will pop and thats when you jump, and you fall on the monsters head. So basically just jump on their heads.
You have to do this to each monster. If you don't, it may look like this..
The more you get hit by the heads, the more the ones you've already hit will wake up.
Remember to hit their heads, not their necks.
When you have them all asleep, jump onto the rock that its body is on, and click.
You'll get a scale from the Hydra, which is another Sacred Item.
You now have five sacred items!!!
Leave the cave, or you can use your Touchscreen Mirror from Aphrodite and click on the Lightning Bolt.
This will bring you back to Main Street.
Go left past the Museum of Olympus, back to the Tree of Immortality where you met Athena.
She will be waiting for you there.
She'll tell you that there's a twist.. the items are DANGEROUS!!!
(insert dramatic moment here)
When she's done speaking, Athena will ask you to put the items together to show the secret message. When your done putting them together, it says "Whoever Wields the Five Sacred Items Will Rule All of Poptropica!"
Then evil Zeus will show up and take the Sacred Items from you!
And the worst part is, you don't get immortality :(
So apparently Zeus was planning to rule Poptropica all along. What a shocker!
Actually, no. It was pretty obvious :3
When Zeus is gone, Athena tells you that you have to stop him, and you should get Hercules to help you talk to Poseidon and Hades, who are the only ones to stop Zeus.
So you're gonna go talk to Hercules in Herc's Hero Hut.
This time, you tell him you have a mirror that Aphrodite gave you so you can transport there. Suddenly he's okay with it, since he won't have to walk. He agrees to help you.
Now here you can click on either the Blue Trident or the Green Skull on the mirror, but I'm going to start with the Blue Trident, for Poseidon.
Click on this and you'll be back at the rock platform you saw earlier. Though you weren't strong enough, Hercules is.
He moves the rock and you can go into Poseidon's Throne Room.
Now you get to meet Poseidon!
Hehe.
Poseidon will tell you he can't leave the sea to defeat Zeus, but he can give you his Trident to help you.
What are you supposed to do with the trident? "You will know when the time comes."
Exit Poseidon's Throne Room and go back to Hercules.
Now click on the Green Skull on the mirror, to Hades's Throne Room.
Hercules will move the "pebble" blocking the door to Hades' Throne Room, so you can get in.
Go in.
You'll meet Hades!
He will tell you he cannot leave the Underworld, but he can give you his Crown to help you.
What are you supposed to do with the crown? "You will know when the time comes."
Exit Hades' Throne Room.
Go back to Hercules and click on the Lightning Bolt on the Mirror.
You'll be in front of the locked gate, and Hercules will bust the padlock.
He tells you to watch and learn, grasshopper, before he busts the padlock. Its funny how there's a grasshopper hopping around right by you when he says that.. Haha ^^
In you go, and as you walk in, a normal snake appears.
Hercules goes to get rid of it, and the snake turns into Medusa!
Poor Hercules! Medusa turns him to stone.
He tells you that he got what he always wanted, so you shouldn't worry.
Continue up the path where you'll meet a wacky blue guy selling wind bags.
(This is the guy I used to customize from in one of my costumes)
Use your Drachma to get a Wind Bag.
If you run out of wind, don't worry, free refills!
The windbag will only get you a little bit up the mountain, so for the rest of the way you have to climb.
Climb onto Zeus' statue, and onto his lightning bolt. Then up the pebbly stones and onto the stairs.
Go up where the mysterious pink mist is forming.
In here, it will be very dark. So walk all the way down the walkway, past all four of the Zeus statues so their lights turn on.
Now Zeus will appear, and you'll need to battle him.
You use the Trident and Crown Hades and Poseidon gave you to defeat him.
It may take a while to defeat him, so be patient.
You'll need to dodge his lightning bolts.
You'll need to dodge him when he darts at you with his head.
You'll need to dodge the white shock balls he throws at you, and yes, they follow you.
You'll also need to make sure you have some clouds underneath you, otherwise you'll fall and have to start over.
You'll need to dodge his bursts of air he'll send at you.
You'll also NEED NEED NEED to shoot your own lightning bolts at him to defeat him!
Just shoot them at him nonstop.
When you finally defeat him, he'll surrender to you and promises he'll be good, and you get the sacred items back.
Athena will show up and congratulate you.
She says you won't need to worry about Zeus for awhile.
He isn't gone forever though..
Ah! But that's for another island.
To thank you, you'll get the island medallion.
Mythology Island completed.
